SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

Services

A brief description and requirements for each option is listed below.

Worship (Guitar, Piano, Drums, Vocals, etc)

-Arrive on time to scheduled rehearsal times on Thursdays and Sundays.

-Review all items of music sent by Eric Jonathan before Thursday rehearsals.

-Bring all necessary music, instruments, lyrics to worship rehearsals.

-Wear appropriate attire on Sunday mornings.

-Living lives worthy of being a public leadership role (Philippians 1:27).

-Come with a humble desire to serve the Lord and work creatively with unity to exalt Jesus and lead others in worshiping Christ.

Hospitality (Set Up/Clean Up)

-Be on time for set up (8:30 am); clean up will stay after service and fellowship time to clean the area back to its original state. 

-Make sure coffee and supplies are set up, and then cleaned up, before and after service.

-Make sure enough coffee is brewed, and that water is filled up.

-Make sure the area is clean and tidy, with no spills.

-Organize snacks that were given from snack providers and plate snacks if needed. 

-Ensure proper food handling techniques (hands washed, utensils washed).

-Connect and engage with the church family.

Greeters

-Arrive at the ministry on time-prayer starts at 9:20 am. 

-Welcome new visitors with eye contact, smile, and a handshake on arrival and departure. 

-Discernment and wisdom to be used on how new visitors wish to be greeted. 

-Encouraging new visitors to visit the welcome desk. 

-Helping new visitors find destinations (bathrooms, kids areas, coat check, etc).

-Genuine welcoming attitude to new visitors “glad they are here”!

-Being intentional and aware of seeking out new visitors before and after services. 

-Use umbrellas to greet guests in the rain.

Kids Gathering: Classroom Assistant

-Complete all necessary training requirements to serve with children.

-Huddle time at 9:35 am in  the SK-Gr.2 Classroom. 

-Assist with attendance and check out procedures. 

-Helping the teacher with the lesson, crafts, activities, and songs.

-Helping children to pay attention and act according to classroom standards 

-Helping younger children with bathroom visits when needed

Sound Board Operators

-Arrive at the scheduled time and begin review of the order of service and any other information related to the service.

-Evaluate the status of the sound board and reconfigure as needed.

-Check, replace batteries in, and distribute wireless microphones and other equipment as needed to equip band members, speakers, etc. 

-Coordinate and direct sound checks with band members and others involved in the production to ensure equipment is functioning properly and that proper sound levels and sound mix are obtained. 

-Conduct rehearsal to fully understand service details and to practice transitions and audio cues as needed to minimize distractions during the service.

-Coordinate with other tech team members to produce the service as planned.

-Attend band practice the week before the weekend you are scheduled to serve (usually on Thursday).

-Attend tech team meetings and training sessions as needed.

Hospitality (Snack Providers)

-Understanding the importance of bringing your snack no later than 9:45 am and dropped on the table in the Gathering Place

-Ensure you bring at least 2 dozen minimum “finger food” type snacks (no fork or spoon foods).

-Food will be left in the container that it is brought in.

-Put supply list on your snack. 

-If homemade, provide a list of ingredients. 

-If store bought, cut out the ingredient list and place with snack. 

-Be mindful of food safe handling procedures to eliminate foodborne illness. 

Welcome Desk

-Arrive at the ministry on time-prayer starts at 9:20 am. 

-Welcome new visitors with eye contact and a smile.

-Gathering information on new visitors for future connection opportunities. 

-Well-equipped to know the ins and outs of the church (small groups, overall general knowledge, connection opportunities, future special events, etc). 

-Hand out information sheets to visitors regarding the church's mission statements and beliefs. 

-Location for offering envelopes, Daily Bread, connection cards.

Kids Gathering: One-on-One Helper

-Complete all necessary training requirements to serve with children.

-Huddle time at 9:35 am in  the SK-Gr.2 Classroom. 

-Have experience with or a willingness to receive training for helping children with various exceptional needs.

-Calm, loving, patient demeanor.

Powerpoint/Video Operators

-Arrive at the scheduled time and begin review of the order of service and other information related to the service (binder, announcement slides, videos, etc)

-Review all items sent by the Pastor including: notes, video, binder, and Powerpoint presentations before Sunday morning. 

-Connect with Eric Jonathan to correct any additions or subtractions to worship lyrics.

-Be intuitive and learn when to advance slides at the proper time for congregation and worship team members to be able to follow along and not be distracted in worship. 

-Pay careful attention to the preaching pastor and follow notes given in the Powerpoint binder to ensure that all sermon slides are displayed at the proper time.

Ushers

-Arrive at the ministry on time-prayer starts at 9:20am. 

-Welcoming new visitors with eye contact and a smile. 

-Count attendance number. 

-Helping new visitors find destinations (bathrooms, kids areas, coat check, etc).

-Facilitate any special needs that may be required (specialized seating for guests in wheelchairs). 

-Collecting offering. 

-5 ushers with 5 aisles-each aisle needs to be covered by an usher for offering. 

-Usher emergency code: 99. 

Security

-Arrive at the ministry on time-prayer starts at 9:20 am. 

-Being aware of the premises and parking lot.

-Eyes open to all that is going on, be aware if something doesn’t look right. Ensure the outside door to children’s space is locked after service starts. 

-Always circling back to post at lobby to ensure access into the building during service is being watched.

Check-in Desk

-Huddle time at 9:35 am in  the SK-Gr.2 Classroom. 

-Turn on computer and label printer and open Breeze online check in software

-Ensure label printer is stocked with labels

-Warmly welcome families and check in kids using software

-Warmly welcome new families by helping them complete Kids Gathering registration form and issue a visitor label for each child.

Kids Gathering: Teacher

-Complete all necessary training requirements to serve with children.

-Huddle time at 9:35 am in  the SK-Gr.2 Classroom. 

-Be in your teaching space by 9:45 am at the latest. 

-Access current curriculum to prepare and teach the weekly lesson. 

-Organize and prepare craft if desired or applicable. 

-Communicate well with your assistant. 

-Oversee attendance and check out.

Other: Cleaning, Gardening, etc

-Will provide more information as needed.
