SERMONS
Augustine said, "Where Scripture speaks, God speaks." That means that where God speaks, the pastors must also speak. That's why at The Gathering we're committed to God's written, Holy Spirit inspired, authoritative, inerrant, sufficient, understandable, necessary, and timeless Word, the Bible. We ask, "What does the Bible say?" and challenge each other to be satisfied with the answer!

To be a worshipper is what God has made us to be. At The Gathering, we want to reach the gospel, preach the gospel, sing the gospel, pray the gospel, and see the gospel in baptism and communion. We don't, however, want to only be "Church People." Our commitment to authenticity as worshippers is intended to extend into our day-to-day.
We want to be a church where people can meet Jesus and engage in life-giving community. We believe in creating a space where people can have real encounters with Christ through His Word, discover their spiritual gifts, use them for God's glory, and for the good of others.

We want the Bible to saturate every ministry in our church because it is the primary means through which the Spirit of God makes believers like Jesus. Our hope is that every believer would be be fully developed in their faith, and equipped to share Gospel truth all around the world.
At The Gathering, we want it enough to ask, seek, and knock until God answers us and then take risks that press on our fears. We are committed to being unashamed in our witness to the Lord Jesus and the good news of his death and resurrection. We strive to share the good news with Windsor-Essex and the whole world for the Glory of God!

We have a tremendous opportunity to proclaim the gospel by giving generously and by serving passionately. Giving invigorates our devotion to Christ and frees us from the tyranny of consumerism. It provides an outlet for compassion and allows us to proclaim His sufficiency and provision. Serving each other and God with our time and our abilities allows us to grow as stewards of God's grace (1 Peter 4:7-11).
