Jesus Christ :: Head of the Church

This is not just a funky idea.  We believe it.

The Bible makes it very clear that Jesus is the head of the church, not the elders or the search committee.  Read Colossians 1:15-20 ESV, "He is the image of the invisible God ... all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross."

Eric has been part of The Gathering community for over 2 years. Pursuing his passion for music, he was able to serve on the worship team for the majority of that time. Currently, Eric is studying towards an Electrical and Computer Engineering Degree at the University of Windsor. As he continues to grow in his faith, the importance of Jesus-centred worship has played an immense role in Eric’s walk with God. As the Director of Worship Arts at The Gathering Church, he continues to prioritize the significance of simple worship and how it encourages others to focus on what’s most important – Our loving Savior, The Son of God, Jesus Christ.
