Your Second Home!
Whether you’re new to church or you’ve been around it your whole life, visiting a new one can be nerve-racking. We want you to know that you’re welcome here at The Gathering! We’ve designed it to be a place where anyone, no matter your background, can feel comfortable. The Gathering is a casual & safe community where you can explore your relationship with God and connect with others.
What should I expect?
If it’s your first time at The Gathering, here are some things you can expect to find on any given weekend:
Friendly greeters to get you pointed in the right direction.
A church service about 70 minutes long, with simple, gospel-centred music and a relevant message from the Bible
Time to connect with friends, families and leaders while enjoying a cup of coffee and a bite to eat after the service, so plan to stick around
What do you have for kids?
We make kids a priority at The Gathering. Not only are they highly valued & loved by God, but they’re the next generation of leaders! The world they live in is tough, so we want to equip them with biblical truth about who God is and who they are, and how to live lives that impact others with the love of Jesus. We have nursery care and the Kids Gathering for preschool - Grade 5. We also have a youth group that meets midweek for students Grade 6 - 12.
What should I wear?
You can wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable–jeans, khakis, suits, dresses, whatever. Weekends are pretty casual, and you’ll notice people wearing a wide assortment of attire, so regardless of what you have on, you’ll probably see others wearing the same thing. Just be yourself!
What should I do next?
If you have not visited a worship service yet, that would be the best first step for you! Then, if you are interested in getting involved or you need more information, please send an email to our pastor, Garth Leno, letting him know of your interest, and we'll get you hooked up!
